This statue is in an area of the abbey that is off limits to the public. Beneath this level of the abbey are crypts and tunnels that are rumored to extend far down into the mount itself. When I took this photograph, I was verbally accosted by a man whom I shall not name who raised his voice, became quite red in the face, and threatened me.
